The Most Fashionable Spots in London | LFW 2018

It’s been a busy month for fashion, with plenty of new, opulent designer collections exhibiting on the catwalks of New York and London. In celebration of London Fashion Week, we’ve put together an edit of the most fashionable spots in London. Whether or not you’ve already visited the capital city of England, factoring these hotspots in for your next visit is a must…

SHOPPING ON NEW BOND ST.

London

Forget the hustle and bustle of Europe’s favorite shopping destination, Oxford Street. New Bond Street is home to some of the most exclusive brands, including Tiffany & Co, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbanna and Jimmy Choo. It’s famous for a reason – most notably for its designer fashion, fine art, sumptuous jewels and antiques. Bond Street has also recently been named as the world’s third most expensive retail street, overtaking Paris’ Champs Elysees in ranking and second only to New York’s Upper Fifth Avenue (good old New York!) and Hong Kong’s Causeway Bay. Do you really need any more reasons to visit?

Bond Street is the place to be seen, and the place to shop. Situated in the Mayfair area, it holds the reputation for being one of the classiest places in the city. So put on your designer sunglasses, snuggle into your heritage overcoat for warmth and head on over to Bond Street for a seriously upmarket shopping experience.

EXPLORING SOHO

Alex Eagle Studio, Soho

So England has a Soho too – and yes, it’s also one of the most iconic, fashionable districts to hang out. Home to hipster hangouts, cultural hubs and amazing food, London’s Soho has plenty in common with our very own eclectic Manhattan neighbourhood. There’s plenty to do and see, with your only dilemma being “where do we go first?” Not to worry, as we’ve got a few fashionable suggestions to make your trip easier.

With its urban village vibe, Ham Yard Hotel is a truly fashionable hotspot, with a 1950’s style chic bowling alley, lush rooftop terrace and motifs of modern British decor. Be prepared for great textiles, contemporary British food and cool interiors.

Or you may want to venture into Dean Street Townhouse – a stunning, boutique Georgian townhouse with extremely opulent decor. Dean Street Townhouse is part of the exclusive Soho House members group, but don’t worry: both the restaurant and hotel are open to all, whether you’re a member or not. A relaxing space to enjoy a spot of quintessentially British afternoon tea, while escaping the bustle of Soho.

For an unforgettable fashion experience, visit Alex Eagle’s luxury retail space in Soho. Showcasing an amazing edit of high-end fashion, art and homeware, Alex Eagle exhibits her refined aesthetic in a light-filled, homely setting. It’s certainly different, and, in our opinion, well worth a visit. If you happen to be in Soho, it’s not one to be missed.

DISCOVER KNIGHTSBRIDGE

London

For those with expensive tastes, Knightsbridge is a must. An affluent area, with an array of striking Victorian homes and gorgeous garden squares, Knightsbridge is home to some of the wealthiest Londoners. Exclusivity is at the heart of Knightsbridge: classy, indulgent restaurants aren’t exactly scarce and five-star hotels line the streets. Naturally, it’s also prime territory for designer shopping.

Located in The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, the streets in Knightsbridge are studded with celebrities. Dress well, enjoy the fine dining and be prepared to spend money as if it’s going out of fashion – you’ll find it difficult not to spend big with the likes of Harrods and Harvey Nichols on offer.
