CEO William founded Maxwell-Scott in 2002, with the aim to reinterpret the art of leather craftsmanship for the modern day. Drawing on the rich Italian heritage of leather goods, founder William Scott Forshaw began to conceive an antidote to the throwaway fashion culture he observed elsewhere. In its place would be a dedication to the finest materials and a design philosophy influenced by innovative yet understated British design – and so the original favorite, The Paolo briefcase, was born.
There’s never a dull moment! I’m constantly in and out of creative meetings to discuss the development of the brand and the expansion of the business. This year is a very exciting one for Maxwell-Scott, and we’re lucky enough to be focusing on building our in-house team. I spend a lot of time finding the right people to help Maxwell-Scott thrive and making sure my employees are happy, healthy and passionate about the brand. There’s nothing more important.
It all started with The Paolo, and it’s been a fond favorite of mine ever since. I love the classic, timeless design and how it effortlessly complements either a full suit or a more business casual outfit.

Having returned to work after taking time out to have children, Charlotte is now working on a relatively new area for the business as the Corporate Sales & Dropshipping Manager. She has found it refreshing to move from the consumer to the corporate side and feels that there is room for a lot of growth in the luxury market. Charlotte enjoys spending quality time with her children, family and beloved dogs….as well as a chilled glass of something to hand!
Always hectic but always enjoyable. We have a really talented and motivated in-house team, so there’s always a great atmosphere. Every day brings a new challenge or a new responsibility. It’s really rewarding to work alongside hard-working individuals who are genuinely interested in watching the business grow.
